Payment Policies
After the doctor has performed a physical exam on your pet, he or she will provide you with a written estimate for the procedures and treatments that will have been discussed with you. Our standard policy is to accept payment at the time that services are rendered. Exceptional Care for Animals does not bill clients.
We accept cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express

As life long pet owners, the Exceptional Care for Animals team understands the emotional and financial toll a pet emergency can place on pet owners. To help ease the financial burden, we offer payment options through CareCredit©. CareCredit allows you to extend your payment over a period of time.
You may fill out an application for CareCredit in our office with the help of our reception team, or online or over the phone before you come in to the clinic. The application only takes a few minutes to fill out, and you receive an instant decision. If you apply online, please print your confirmation receipt and bring it with you. If you choose to apply over the phone, make sure you write down your credit card number and bring it into the clinic.
Your financial burden may also be lessened through pet insurance. Most pet insurance companies will reimburse you the cost of routine and emergency veterinary care based on what is outlined in your selected plan. Our veterinarians and reception staff are able to help you fill out and send in your insurance claim form.
Pet insurance is available through many different providers:
VPI Pet Insurance
ASPCA Pet Insurance
PetCo
Purina Care
Our 24-hour exam fee is $66. As with your regular veterinarian, there are many factors that contribute to the cost of services here at Exceptional Care for Animals. Some of these contributing factors include the costs of supplies, building maintenance, and staff wages.
The nature of your pet’s visit to an emergency clinic is often more complex than routine vet visits, and therefore, inherently more costly. Because we are available to you 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, our overhead costs are higher than that of a day clinic Additionally, emergency technical staff wages tend to be higher due to their demanding hours and special skill sets. In our mission to provide exceptional care, we also have to face higher costs for nursing staff, training, and equipment. Due to the emergency need of specialty drugs and antidotes, the cost of stocking an emergency clinic is higher than most, and we also face the costs of providing in-house laboratory services. Having an in-house lab allows us to receive blood work and other test results back quickly, enabling our doctors to treat your pets faster and more efficiently. |
